Pros
1. This is such a strong and mission-driven culture with a great work-life balance. 2. Extensive training is available throughout your employment to refer back if needed. These trainings cover all areas of operation: from large processes and software tutorials to the smallest of administrative tasks. 3. Specific departments (Marketing, Finance, IT, etc.) that provide resources, allowing staff to focus on core responsibilities. 4. Regular regional and national meetings that provide and encourage connection between employees and chapters. 5. Peer mentorship program for new employees that has been incredibly helpful.
Cons
Not necessarily "Cons" but things to consider if applying for a position: 1. This is largely an event-based position and the change in focus between events requires a good amount of flexibility and adaptability. 2. Workload can become heavy during campaigns. 3. Given the remote environment, there are a lot of meetings. It's necessary and actually good for maintaining connection and focus, but it can sometimes be repetitive.
