Pros
Amazing work-life balance. You absolutely cannot say this enough about Enova - it is ingrained into the culture. Wonderful place to learn. Plenty of opportunities to learn on the job and develop skills that will serve you well when your time at Enova comes to an end. Great people. I have made amazing friends working here - the people are awesome. Enova really takes up a special place in your heart. I feel proud to work for this company and I mostly believe in the mission to provide fast, trustworthy credit to those in need.
Cons
Enova has lost some of the entrepreneurial spirit it once had since I joined a long time ago, and it is much more corporate. This comes naturally with being a publicly-traded company, and it is a byproduct of a company maturing, but it's sad to see that this has faded. They don't even advertise this in recruiting materials anymore. Communication from senior leadership to lower-level employees is weak, and the organization feels more "vertical" every year. They have been focusing on improving this, but they still fall short in many ways. Most Execs and senior leaders still feel very distant from most employees, they should spend more time making themselves available to everyone. They also should stop rearranging / renaming levels for employees every few years to make them feel like they're promoted more frequently, everyone knows that this is general nonsense. Even Top Talent is promoted less frequently. There is a clear divide between corporate and the contact center. Again, efforts have been made to improve this, but there is not enough being done. It is obvious, and given the current state of the world, there is no time like the present to address the issue. Enova underpays you compared to other Tech companies. They know this and are open about it. This is the trade-off for an incredible work-life balance and great opportunities to learn.
