Favoritism, Immature atmosphere, attendance policy is unreasonable for call center employees, they make you jump through hoops for bereavement, dirty office....they never vacuum, bed bugs, low morale, horrible management

Pros

Convenient downtown location. The company is walking distance from all CTA and Metra stations. The casual dress code is a perk.

Cons

The employees working in the Operations Department are treated like employees in an electronic sweatshop. No sick days. Some departments in Operations are infested with bed bugs.

Pros

The job itself is easy and enjoyable if you like phone customer service. The co workers are cool. It was remote work. The pay is agreeable. The hours are reasonable.

Cons

Management is horrible. They fire you even if you're doing your job near perfectly 99% of the time. They lie about having a written warning system where I got fired for making two easily correctable mistakes. They very rarely give recognition for maintaining metrics of "exceeds expectations". They are stingy with raises even though said employee is constantly within the top 10% or higher. Within the whole time I worked there I was only reviewed for performance once, even though it was supposed to be a quarterly review. Manager who oversaw my department, the only time I even ever met her was upon having the meeting to let me know about my termination. Communication is horrible for them, which is ironic, seeing as they are a phone customer service company, I say this considering the issue I was fired over not once was brought to my attention until almost three weeks later. Worsening their skills of communication is shown by how my direct supervisor didn't even know I was being fired until he heard it from me. Other instances are their lack of communication for policy updates where most of the time the best advance warning we would ever get about a policy update is the day of said update. Other fellow co workers have even expressed concerns about the lack of communication, where there was even an instance of there being two separate guideline posted pages of a policy update that ended up contradicting each other. Not once was I ever given the chance to correct the action that lead to my termination nor was I informed of said action. Another con being how rude the member of leadership whom fired me was upon my exit interview where I was hardly given a chance to explain my actions. Career opportunities are poor too since plenty of times during company staff meetings other fellow employees would constantly seek new roles to open up and said concerns was metaphorically swept under the rug.
