I would never willingly work here

Pros

If you’re into being micro-managed, this is the place for you.

Cons

Enova makes most of their money by offering payday loans to vulnerable people, charging over 500% on interest rates. Read this article and see for yourself what they’re all about. Just Google “Bloomberg Payday Loans 2021” I only worked for Enova because the amazing company that I worked for (OnDeck) was acquired by Enova and I needed to maintain employment until I could find another job. I would never willingly go to work for a company that preys on people in vulnerable financial situations and keeps them stuck in poverty with interest rates that become impossible to pay back. It’s disgusting and despicable. The people that are proud to work for Enova don’t have a conscience. OnDeck was incredibly successful in a lot of ways but Enova didn’t once ask or consider looking into any of our processes/practices. They had zero interest in learning about our business. They bought OnDeck for the technology and weren’t ever concerned about any of the people that were a part of that package. People left in droves and they did nothing to stop the bleeding. They didn’t offer retention bonuses (but they were promoting their own people off cycle), even as critical employees left, taking years of domain knowledge with them. They did absolutely nothing. They also refused to offer full time remote work and insisted on everyone eventually returning to an office. The CEO is so out of touch with reality. The pandemic has shown that people are all fully capable of working remotely while the company continued to be successful. Most people do not want to go back to the way things were pre-covid. Lots of people want the option to work from home. A number of people have left Enova for this very reason. Enova also made financial contributions to Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017 and there have been lawsuits against Enova. Do your homework and Google them. But hey - if you’re okay working for a company that makes its money by being a massive loan shark - this is the place for you.

Pros

My experience at Enova was excellent. It is a great environment, where the opportunities are endless.

Cons

I think the way the call center is treated compared to corporate is unfair. Everyone should have the same perks, access to food, etc.
