Pros
- work from home but that changed as soon as things started opening up more There weren’t very many pros as you can see. I wasted a year of my life working for an organization that doesn’t even know how to manage or adapt to changing times let alone send an agenda before meetings. It felt like I was working in an office set in the 1950’s. Mostly men. They try to talk the talk of bipoc but they have literally no idea what they are doing i.e. equitable path forward. No internal systems set up and everyone passes the buck. To give you a sense, 5 directors left 6 months into my position. Things are crumbling, don’t get onboard a sinking ship
Cons
- top down management style - they hire fellows for cheap labor and treat them like interns -horrible leadership from the national level to market (market leader never had agendas to any meeting) disorganized and chaotic - perpetuate sexism and racism by not being transparent with salary bands or raises
