      Alligent: Great Co-Workers and Senior Leadership. Terrible and Abusive Middle Management.

      Pros

      Alligent is made up of a great group of people, senior leadership does a great job of providing solid company vision, direction and innovation. Pay and benefits are fair, great company sponsored events.

      Cons

      Where senior leadership succeeds is where middle management fails. Severe micromanagement and favoritism shown by those at the middle management level. Environment can be downright abusive at times with lower level employees being yelled at/belittled in front of their peers out in the open floor. Unlike leadership, middle management has an unwillingness to listen to ideas or recommendations for change, generally reprimanding any attempts at creativity. Middle management tends to show direct favoritism towards a core group with others being treated as outsiders, often excluded and overlooked in many decisions. Caution: An attractive offer could be filled with some empty promises, many things that were guaranteed were later removed or retracted based on middle management discretion. No guarantees that anything promised will be kept.

      USED to be a great place to work...

      Great coworkers, although most are leaving or let go... so

      Cons

      Downward spiral began a few years ago on focusing high level management hires, while removing good workers (or forcing them to leave) that were offering opinions that sometimes went against plans. Plans usually were created by past senior management that weren't well thought out.

      New Leadership Creating Toxic Environment

      Good medical benefits and unlimited PTO

      What I loved most about working for Envision was even though it is a global corporation, it didn't feel like a big-pharma corporate environment. They really cared about employee morale and fully embraced their most imporatant core value which was "People First" What was once a great place to work has now become an unsettled stressful workplace due to new CEO. All of the new executives she's hiring are white, mostly men. No diversity. Not giving current employees a chance to fill leadership roles before letting them go and bringing in her own cronies, AND now her son to replace someone who has been with the company for years and has WAY more experience. It's very clear she's not putting the well-being of the employees of the company first and has her own self agenda.

As you rightly pointed out we run a quarterly employee survey and would encourage you to share any feedback on the company via this mechanism and your Line Manager as the ELT really do value your commentary. At this quarterly review we will be sharing action plans for any initiatives that cover employee welfare and culture as we come out of our recent change programme. Your opinions really matter to the ELT as we continue to build out our new organisation.
