Pros

Very high pay and huge raises (15-30% per year). Lots of great smart people in the age range of 21-30, and it feels like college continued.

Cons

Very disorganized and chaotic, the work is ridiculously difficult. I would only recommend if you have both of the following: 1) A passion for IT and 2) A passion for the healthcare industry. Don't take the job just for the pay if you aren't truly interested, you will burn out quick. Exit opportunities after many years working there only seem to lead to other roles that are Epic adjacent.

Pros

Good pay, willing to hire fresh new grads, teammates are nice

Cons

Team culture is gone. You either have to be exceptionally talented or work 12–14 hour days, which is now standard for many junior and even senior devs. Your performance rating depends almost entirely on your team lead, with no clear benchmarks or path to improvement. If you miss expectations for three quarters, you're forced to set an end date.
