Pros

Great career springboard. Lots of marketable experience very quickly. Owning projects very early. Lots of training. Good pay and raises.

Cons

Crushing workload. Potentially challenging customer analysts. You work more for the hospital you are assigned to than you do for Epic. Sink or swim environment. Long long projects. If a project is 2 years you rarely get the opportunity to master different phases. You just move from 1 phase to the next figuring out the phase as the phase finishes. Health IT implementations are large existentially stressful projects where organizations realize the benefits years down the road after you are gone.
