Pros

Epic is highly respected in the industry and surviving a few years here will open many doors in healthcare and IT. That being said, it’s challenging to make it here and many IS new hires don’t make it past their first year, with most leaving by year 3.

Cons

Long hours and high pressure. Terrible PTO policies.

Pros

Excellent pay and intelligent co-workers. You have the chance to learn and do all sorts of roles, and you’re never bored. The travel can be fun.

Cons

If you can’t establish boundaries, you will be taken advantage of. Also, the company doesn’t seem to care overly much for individual employees and adheres to policy even under unreasonable circumstances.
