Pros

Good pay, smart coworkers, budgets do not apply

Cons

leadership is cloned in the image of managers who have only ever worked at Epic; lot of yes men (deliberate word choice as there is very little diversity at Epic...google "Epic diversity" and read all about the historical messaging from their Executive Leadership) but not a lot of emphasis on growing or teaching those around them how to improve - mostly just CYA mode. Employees are simply cogs in the wheel to use and discard when needed.

Pros

Co-workers with whom you bond over shared trauma.

Cons

Out of touch leadership, non-existent diversity or growth programs, difficult work life balance, no remote work options beyond 10 tightly controlled half days (while at least one highly visible leader works 100% remote), embarrassing COVID policies despite being a healthcare company, antiquated technical platform, poor performing R&D teams, and micromanagement to the smallest of support details.
