Pros
I enjoy the team that I work with a lot, and the work itself is well-paced. My team is very flexible about potential improvements to the development process, and they are open to all feedback. Overall, day to day operations is quite enjoyable from an engineering perspective.
Cons
The process of getting raises or promotions is just plain bad. This is not necessarily an engineering problem, they're happy to see juniors be pro-active and take on more responsibilities. The problem is that the company itself does not want to formally give any promotions or raises. If rising through the ranks and getting bigger pay checks is something you want to do in the first two years, it's probably not going to happen. Engineering is also a very second-class citizen when compared to sales. Company has metrics to measure improvements, but they're ALL sales related. Bonus salaries are a joke, in the sense that they haven't existed for over a year and a half. Company keeps missing their own targets, and personal bonus is tied to company performance. Even though performance is improving, the targets are unreasonable, since they haven't been reached 3 year halves in a row.
