      Nice type of work, but undervalued position by management.

      Pros

      Helping patients and providers communicate well is what it's all about. There is a lot of on the job variety and you get to see many interesting things.

      Cons

      Not much room for advancement. This position is undervalued but severely needed. There also was no incentive or support for continuing education in the field.

      Coworkers are nice people who care about the patients.

      Expected to do the work of three people. Only hear from higher ups about what you can't do. No way to grow or stay long term. No training or mentors.
