Pros

Interactions with wonderful clients, benefits are ok

Cons

Midtown is no longer the organization I thought it was. They used to put client care first. Now? It’s all about billing and profit. Myself along with over 30 others were laid off this past week. We were told this had been in works for months, yet you wait right before Christmas and the new year to inform us? They gave us 30 days, but that is not enough. You CHOSE to let go employees who have committed over 20 years to your organization. Yet you could not find the decency to have a private conversation one on one about why their position is being eliminated? No you told us all in a group setting where many of us cried. That is in no way shape or form appropriate. I used to recommend midtown for employment but no longer. You all should be ashamed of yourselves

Stay clear of Patient Acess

Pros

Great benefits, several departments have good leaders, learning organization, diverse work environment, compassionate and intelligent medical staff, environmental stewards, encourages healthy life style, mission of organization

Cons

Patient Acces leadership rules with an iron fist and treats well-educated adults like children to make their own jobs easier. The listening skills of leadership are very limited. At times it seems that they ask questions not to help you but to find ways to attack you. The current director comes across as untrust worthy and manipulative. The associate director takes a militaristic approach to his employees put plays the role of a politician when in a public setting. Stay away from the Patient Access side of revenue cycle at Eskenazi Health and you will enjoy your career.
