Enjoy the role

Pros

You can make as much money as you want as long as you work hard. I prefer to have a manageable part time case load so I can enjoy caring for my patients at my pace. I appreciate Eventus working with me on this schedule, Alot of other employers will not work with you to ensure lifestyle flexibility and choice but they do. I see some of the negative posts but feel like maybe those folks assumed a role they were not ready for or tried to do too much too fast. The EHR has improved since I joined the team in 2019. The pay is decent for the level of stress the work requires compared to having been an inpatient NP in past who made more money but had no life balance. You must love caring for Geriatric patients and treat them like you would your own parents or grandparents to enjoy this role. It will not get you rich compared to other roles but with commitment and caring, it is rewarding. I have had several supervisors since starting in 2019 and it does depend on who is over you as well as to how well you feel about your role. Experienced NPs or PAs who are computer savvy and can manage their time well will love this job. New graduates have been great here too but I think they get stressed out with the multiple components this job requires to be successful. The Medical leadership has always displayed concern and response to any questions I sent them. I'm sure profit is a key concern for any private company but feel the team I work with and for take patient care very seriously and strive to ensure our customers (patients, families, and faclities) have a responsive provider who will meet their needs.

Cons

Must be able to manage time well with little oversight, Can get behind on documentation if not computer savvy or carrying caseload that is too large for skill set of provider.

Thank you for sharing very thorough and candid feedback. We really do appreciate and value your thoughts. We've shared your feelings about the PTO process change with HR. We also encourage you to reach out to them to express your concerns more fully. We want to be able to provide all employees with the opportunity to balance work and life in the best way that fits their needs. We are excited to share that our training program has been built out to be a very robust and supportive process that lasts over 90 days. We are very proud of the strides we have made in that area and have seen it allow for more supported and confident new hires.
