Pros

Great benefits, a lot of awesome coworkers, my supervisor was great. Good pay.

Cons

Union- there were 4 people doing the work for an entire department. People found a way to not work and it put a lot of pressure on others. Upper management rarely checks in and when they do it is mostly false promises. Very behind the times. They can force overtime.

No Work Life Balance

Pros

Decent starting wage, good benefits and PTO policy, non storm schedules, co workers.....

Cons

This is an excellent job if you don't have kids, a spouse or a life. There is a lot of mandatory, often last minute OT - for storms, potential storms, there might be a storm, call volume......you never know if you will leave on time or be forced to work 12 - 16 hours. They may require you to cancel your vacation if there is a storm. Amd yes they tell you this up front BUT they don't include things like hey, we have the right to force you to cancel plans (including important events) vacations, be on call 24/7 (your ratings are heavily based on this ), etc. They are not very flexible nor fair in regards to this. Management is also very hypocritical and micro managing. Ultimately you are just a number who is easily replaced. They are constantly hiring and turmover is very high. There is also noticable favortism when it comes to promotions.

Good benefits, bad culture

Pros

Decent pay, good benefits

Cons

The culture is horrible. Management is more concerned with micro managing each job than solving institutional problems. Employees opinions and solutions are not welcome, and management doesn’t care about employees happiness or morale.
