Pros
From a new employees perspective, my hiring experience couldn't have been better. The administrative staff was very thorough and organized. I was given a warm welcome and all of the guidance needed to make the transition. As I get settled in my position, I'm aware that safety is the number one focus. The management and employees look out for one another and make sure safety procedures are followed. Each department seems to be filled with knowledgeable and driven employees. Everyone is focused and has the opportunity to thrive.
Cons
The power companies have done away with the pensions, although other benefits still contribute to a retirement plan. Also, some areas lack funding for some basic technological advancements.
