Pros

I've worked for the company for over 20 years and have found it to be rewarding and extremely fulfilling. It's not often you hear of someone staying with one company for this length of time, but the reasons I stay include the company's proven success, strong leadership, focus on customers, a keen eye toward performance and results. In addition, my colleagues are hard working and possess excellent work ethics and expertise.

Cons

Given the frequency and extent of bad weather in recent years, it can be challenging working for a company whose customers have very high expectations related to service interruptions due to storms. Because the company puts an all-out effort into restoration during storms working late nights, weekends and holidays can be expected. That said, it's nice to be part of a working collaborative that shines, especially during storms. And, it's during storms when the company truly demonstrates its commitment to customers.

Pros

Great pay, great benefits, great people.

Cons

Merged with NSTAR and it's focus is on making money and cutting jobs my way or the highway mentality.

Pros

Stable job, good coworkers. High salary for the level of position. Some managers are great to work for. Benefits are above average for pricing and kinds of benefits

Cons

Since merger, they don't care about employees. Layoffs are a common occurrence. There is no opportunity for advancement and little for lateral movement.
