Micromanage and Underpaid

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The bonuses, engagement activities & great IT department.

Cons

Underpaid, they show favoritism, everything is a lateral move, the workload is entirely too much for the hourly pay. They promote externally before they promote within. The management is horrible and they pick at certain things just too keep you in the same position. Work ethics don’t matter to this company they literally want you too kiss their behind to grow with the company. There’s no way somebody that has been there over 5 years should be in the same role. They don’t care about mental health when someone passes away. You have to show an obituary, a death certificate, a letter from the funeral home and show proof that you’re related to the your family member. The micromanaging is outrageous. You have to share your screen, anybody can just hop in on your phone call, the track your mouse, they grade way too many phone calls a month, they have a high turnover rate bc they treat the employees like crap and don’t care about development and growth. There’s no way we have to go through loop holes just to grow at company all because they put people in management positions who don’t know anything.

Great company until it wasn’t

Pros

They allow you to negotiate for more if you have experience in collections. Work schedule was good. Incentivized for high performance.

Cons

The executive and director teams are out of touch with the market. They lend money to anyone with a heartbeat then prey on them to pay no matter what’s going on. They pretend like they care about your well being but it’s all a facade. Policies are put in place on a whim and without any thought of the impact. If you don’t have experience in the industry you will struggle and corrective action will ensue. Training is subpar and needs to be revamped and more follow through. Management finds every way to keep you from getting your incentive if you put in a notice to leave. HR is better than the secret service at taking bullets for incompetent executives and managers. They won’t promote and help you to grow if you’re a great collector due to fact that they need to collect money. There is no cohesiveness and anyone from a director and above is toxic with the exceptions of a few.
