GOING PUBLIC

Pros

Staying at Extended Stay Hotels when on vacation!

Cons

Over the years, Extended Stay has cut staffing levels again and again, even before going public! Associates are now required to be in three places at the same time, causing customer service to suffer. The only time the hotel is not dirty is when VIPs are coming to visit and the hotel is never properly maintained.

Pros

Staff at the property level are amazing

Cons

Upper management and corporate does not care about the most important aspect of hospitality: the people. Zero balance work/personal life. Never got a vacation.

Pros

7 free nights a year to use wherever.

Cons

Doesn't offer competitive pay; you are required to work crazy long hours with no support from upper management; they don't care about their employees and their work life balance
