Pros

It used to be the company cars and being able to work from home, but they have since taken the luxuries away accept for a selected few.

Cons

Management, this new Regime they have gotten in there are young and no nothing about respect and dealing with employees. They are like Robots there is no empathy at all and this from the the BCM to the Supervisors the BCM is young as well as most of the supervisor and they do not respect anyone but themselves. I have never worked for a manager and supervisors that were so rapped up into thereselves. It is horrible. Bottom if you are young and like Happy Hours in the beginning then this is the place for you, but beware after a few months the evil twin comes out and you will be treated like the "old timers"

Pros

Company car, cell phone, etc. Field work 100% of the time, zero commute time. Other greate reasons to work for Farmers is that you don't necessarily need industry experience to work for them, they will train you. I trained for a solid 3 MONTHS before I started taking claims. If you work on the Auto side, it is really pretty great.

Cons

Unfair expectations for performance reviews and/or raises. VERY CHEAP, when it comes to bonuses. Having to sell the crap aftermarket parts to the shops and these poor claimants who got hit by our drivers, now they are getting aftermarket crap bumpers on their car.

Pros

I really have nothing too good to say about Farmers. I hear that the pay is good when compared to the industry as a whole, but I can't say that it's good considering I work in Orange County CA .

Cons

This company has unrealistic expectations for everyone including management. There really is no way to excel because the bar is always being raised. When does a company realize that there are plateaus and incremental growth is all that can be expected. The company lost their wage law lawsuit so now they can't work someone 80 hours a week. So now they expect the same workload to be done in 40 hours, and they are stingy on the overtime. In fact, "workload is not justification for overtime!" What else could possibly be more justifiable. And now they are raiding the benefits package and passing it off as a benefit for the employees. Sure they can sell the PR line that they are actually paying more, but really what they are saying is that while the current package would cost the company 15% more next year due to rising healthcare costs, they are cutting benefits and only increasing their costs 1% this upcoming year.
