Pros

Prevent from being homeless if you need a job. It is only competetive for Oklahoma Salaries. Which is not saying much because Oklahoma is said to have a low cost of living. Not sure where they get that from. Gas is just as high here as it is anywhere. Housing may be a little less than say Calf but all up, the cost of living here is just as expensive.

Cons

Very stressful. High performance demanded or your gone. Low reward for the work done. Very little praise. Lots of comments when your not doing as well as they would like but little acknowledgement of when you are doing good.

Pros

It's a job. That's all. When you are hired they feed you a line of propaganda. They used to have good benefits. Decent health insurance, vacation time, sick leave and even Profit Sharing. January 1, 2009 all of this will change. If you have many years invested in the company you have to stay.

Cons

Many of the employees have never worked anwhere else, so they don't realize how bad FNWL has become. The "open door policy" is nonexsistant. If anything it is used against you. The job advancement is done on a matrix system. If the person (the favored one) doesn't meet the requirements of the original matrix they just rewrite it and make the matrix fit the favored person.

Pros

It's a typical 9-5 (although actual shifts vary). The company appears to be a good company to work for, however, my department is lacking in many ways.

Cons

This crtique is limited to my department only. Poor management creates situations where only a week of straight overtime (50+ hrs) will get the job done by deadlines. In January, I requested time off for November and was denied. A co-worker (female) hired after me (male), with 1 year of more experience to do exactly the same job I was doing was started at a pay $1,300 less per year than me, i.e., Gender discrimination.
