Talented people, but needs a healthier culture and better planning

Pros

- Exciting product - Great benefits, company pays for almost everything - Free food and snacks - Talented people everywhere with diverse backgrounds - Little micromanagement, tons of freedom as long as you are performing - Dog friendly office - Ability to travel for work around and out of the country

Cons

- Just laid off ~32 people, rumors of more coming - Transparency from management isn’t always consistent - Onboarding is more a data dump on the product rather than training to do your job. Tons of ambiguity towards KPIs and how to properly execute your role - Company culture is unhealthy, sometimes toxic. Stereotypical “Tech Bro” vibe from 70% of the company - Product is generally seen by customers as a short term tool for projects vs a long term solution

Thank you for the feedback you are providing. It's always great when we get input from the team on ways to improve. We agree that we have the potential to be an amazing company. We need to be more aligned as a team on what we are building towards. From an employee perspective, your comments around onboarding and building diverse and cohesive teams are well received. From a product perspective, the management team is actively working on longer-term strategies to solidify our place as a category leader. Expect to hear more about this in Q4 2018.

Stay Away! If you interview, then ask why they laid off so many people after funding.

Pros

Great idea. Good location. Decent snacks, beer and occasional food service. Likable people.

Cons

Ideas don't make great companies, execution does, and this company is severely lacking across all departments. Poor communication between teams and secretive at the top. Product iterates as quickly as Microsoft and with bugs like an MVP.

You get to work for a "cool" "disruptive" company - Free Kombucha!

Cons

If you want to get laid off because this company routinely can't raise enough money because it's spending it on Kombucha than this place is for you!
