I have worked at Actionverb for about 7 months now, and I have to say I love the culture here. The people I work with are some of the brightest and best at what they do and it shows. I previously came from a remote position in the health sector and the attention to detail as it pertains to forming a well functioning and efficient team of remote workers is remarkable. Team members support each other and roles are clearly defined for employees leaving little to be confused about. Team meetings function quickly and efficiently unlike previous orgs where time is wasted in disorganized meeting formats. They seem to go above and beyond to make sure we have the tools and resources needed to complete our tasks (ex: they have dumped a massive sign on bonus into new employees to make sure they have what they need, I used this to purchase a new macbook pro). They invest in providing top tier working experiences for staff, like sending everyone to a really cool city to work together once a quarter. So far the company has afforded me the ability to work while traveling to places I would have never visited otherwise. There is a lot of wiggle room around crafting out processes and helping to shape the future of the company. They recently added a benefits package that incentivizes employees who are with the company for long periods of time which adds a lot of value to the time spent here. Each customer use case is a bit different which provides a level of learning you're not going to find other places. One day I might be solving an automation workflow for a famous clothing company, the next day I may be working with a professional sports team or the head of IT at a leading financial services firm. It keeps you on your toes, but more importantly it teaches you something new and complex daily that you can use to further your understanding and embolden your skills. Also communication is a huge winner at this company. We constantly stay connected via slack and video conferencing. Everything is really open and public which provides for a level of engagement from all teams that I believe really helps streamline the best ideas moving forward. Collective analysis from the entire company helps in keeping bad ideas at bay, and It's very rare that decisions are made that are not in interest of everyone as a whole. Lastly the company has been very good about keeping up standards not only on a product level but on an employee level as well. When you realize where your co-workers all came from industry and company wise you get a real sense that you're surrounded by smart people that will actually change the world, not just write about it.
