Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled that you have found a meaningful connection with our mission as many of our advisors and Home Office employees have. We often hear from employees that one of the most compelling elements of this career is the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families. We'll be sharing your feedback on our organizational structure impacting collaboration with our leadership team. Thank you for taking the time to review and grow with us. We're excited you are on the team.

Pros

Holidays off, some advisors give you bonuses if they feel generous in sharing the ones they earn

Cons

Administrative Assistants are hired directly by the Financial Advisor, sometimes this means you work for a tyrant. I worked for a woman who in a years time went through close to 15 people in my position. In the interview she stated she would give 6 months training but would demean her employees and micromanage them. Her employees never left the 6 months training period. There was nobody to report her behavior to because the advisors are considered “small business owners” so they just rented their space. Absolutely no accountability for the advisors actions.

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us. It is unfortunate to hear about the situation you’re describing. At First Command, we are committed to attracting and retaining talented people by creating and sustaining a culture that inspires our employees, independent Advisors, and staff with the goal of making them feel valued as part of our larger team. Encouraging feedback and constructive criticism from our employees, independent Advisors, and staff is part of that commitment. All are invited to share their experiences so we can address any shortcomings and bring positive change to the organization. We encourage employees to communicate challenges like the one you’re describing to their supervisors or management, including Field leadership. We will be sharing your feedback with our leadership team so we can continue to improve.
