Pros

A bi weekly paycheck, covered parking, … did I say covered parking?

Cons

Reading some of the recent reviews, it is clear that the company leadership is adding the reviews to boost the company’s poor rating. Let me set the record straight. If you like being yelled out, cursed at, and belittled in every way possible, work at First Command Financial Services. It is clear that the overall philosophy of leadership is to suck every bit of life out of their employees and then discard them. There is no work/life balance. Just work until you drop and then push your corps out of the way. OH, there is a pro, they don’t like the smell of dead body’s stinking up the place.

Pros

Mission is easy to connect with Culture is strong Opportunity ESOP/Retirement benefits are stellar People Wellness program/Onsite gym

Cons

Pockets of the company struggle with change Technology is lacking (but we are making progress) Some leadership drives progress/change - some sit on the sidelines and watch Health care costs are very high Wages and bonuses are below market...for long time associates the value of the ESOP makes up for it Culture of taking care of and encouraging behavior from squeaky wheels (vs soliciting feedback from a large pool)

One of the best companies to work for in Ft Worth, TX

Pros

Family oriented culture with great work/life balance. The company provides multiple opportunities for employees to give feedback to senior leadership and, overall, they're pretty transparent. The company was founded with a mission to help military families and they continue that mission today. The campus is impressive and the buildings are clean and smoke-free. A wellness center is onsite for employees as well as a parking garage. Employees have the opportunity to collaborate on projects and provide input on how they conduct and manage their work. Compensation is fair based on the local market. They also have a generous deferred compensation program.

Cons

None - I really like my job, my co-workers and my manager.
