      High stress, long hours

      Pros

      Decent compensation, good benefits, well-known products. Good investments in technology and sales.

      Cons

      Managers with equity shares make ruthless decisions for their personal benefit. Laid off 10% of employees so those remaining can get their bonuses; but then they're expected to pickup the slack, even though they're already over-burdened. Moved to "open office" concept so senior management can keep tabs on who's in the office. Company provides laptop and iPhone, but then expect you to be available even on vacation. Work from home policy not consistently applied. Middle managers are pawns of senior management, often employing negative motivational techniques and managing by fear and intimidation.

      Good work but profit over employees

      Pros

      Very generous with PTO and work-life balance. Engineers are knowledgeable and great to work with.

      Cons

      The company had layoffs but also had money to acquire a new company. Also is hiring dozens of contractors from India to layoff US employees and outsource labor.

      Pros

      Insurance benefits like vision, dental, health with great options and low premiums for families.

      Cons

      Unfair bias in workplace. If you aren’t “in” with the right people in management, you will see and feel the disparity in action. Managers openly gossiping about employees is not professional.
