      working with great people who want to improve the business and grow the company; uncapped compensation $s; work life balance good; superstar engineering and support on a shoestring budget

      Cons

      under powered, out of depth global sales management. confused product strategy, hung up on EBITDA $s rather than believing empowered employees will drive EBITDA growth; Mary-Celeste offices; random workforce reductions; engineering and support starved on investment

      Pros

      Comments primarily focus on software monetization business though cultural aspects go across the business * King of the on premise software world * Great expertise and solutions for software monetization (on premise world) * Good people to work with * Work / Life Balance * Collaborative work environment * New opportunities in trend of hardware companies trying to become software centric * Few good external leadership hires recently that are genuinely interested in shaking up things (give them the latitude to make a difference)

      Cons

      * Core on premise market shifted dramatically, which has caused significant challenges in the recent past. So far not found relevancy and compelling value proposition for technology trends like SaaS, Mobile, Social and Internet of Things (IoT). IoT seems closest to the next phase of evolution, however the current baby steps and lip stick on pig approach is likely to fall short. * Milking traditional cash cows and starving innovation with relentless focus on EBITDA makes a classic case for wasted potential * Company's growth limitation obviously translates into limited growth and career opportunities * Lack of "Silicon Valley culture” to compete in the fast changing high-tech world is like bringing a knife to a gun fight

      Pros

      They have one of the latest and catchy technology in the industry and are making good progress with it. People are really nice here, Excellent management leadership and a very friendly working environment among team mates. The company knows what they want and it is going that way.
