bad and getting worse

Pros

healthcare is good and overall benefits are good except no 401k match and the compensation is not competitive

Cons

The only good reviews are coming from management and I think that is a key indicator of how bad things are (plus mgmt sending in a newsletter to boost reviews, which prompted me to come see them) -Everyone on my team is leaving and when management gets any feedback they deflect and nothing gets fixed. They are trying to pretend everything is fine but our attribution rate says otherwise and it has made more work for the rest of us. -Management is trying to force a culture that isn't there -Engineering can't keep up with AI and rolling back products has been demoralizing

Fast growth, product direction driven by sales team

Pros

Genuinely some great people working across different departments of the company. Company focusing on growing, so if you’re into joining a “fast-moving” and “dynamic” environment this is the place for you. This means with all these changes happening, your experience largely differs based on which group you’re in. Engineering is focused on right priorities to support enterprise customers but rapid culture change has alienated a lot of engineers who’ve been with the company for a long time.

Cons

Benefits: “Unlimited PTO” really means 4 weeks. No 401K contributions. No cash bonuses. They have maternity/paternity leave which is nice. Health insurance options are good too but wo to rising costs, you are starting to have to pay. 1. Product prioritization is basically driven by whatever sales is shouting about the loudest, which makes it hard to build anything truly innovative or features improving the lives of current customers since they are echo chambers for what prospects think they want. 2. Lack of cohesive AI strategy beyond “you need to add it in your modules” and putting things into Transform product 3. Product and Engineering leadership do not seem in “lock-step”. 4. Lack of product leadership. A long memo was shared on what it means to be a good PM rather than meaningful group discussion about expectations, vision, and goals for the product group. 5. Difficult to get product leadership to make difficult decisions to move things forward. PMs can advise and propose a direction, but decisive action and accountability need to sit with leadership. Presentations about high level vision and direction devolve into nitpicking on UI/UX details that won’t even be built for 3+ months. 6. AI hype train is very real - if you just loudly talk about AI in every meeting, you’ll most likely be viewed favorably
