Pros
My boss encouraged us if we have good or bad news to report, to post it on here. He asked for unbiased reviews. We get to be anonymous and can post the what we like and don’t. That made me want to be able to voice up. I’m newer to the company and work in sales. This is my first job outside of college jobs and so far so good. The pros that I’ve had a chance to witness first hand in my time with the company are *Pay – the pay schedule is rewarding. I thought the idea of base and commission would be scary end up working like some of those folks who stand around a car dealership and make next to nothing for a full days work. It aint like that here. It’s a sales job. Your paid to sell. Your trained to sell. You will end up selling. *Management – in the time I’ve been with foley I’ve worked with three of the managers. Two for other sales departments and my own boss. All three helped me become comfortable doing what I’m doing. My boss in particular works with the rookie team and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He stepped in to personally help me with training when I was struggling. This being my first job, he stepped up and helped me not only feel welcome into the mix, but is teaching me how to sell for the first time without overwhelming me. He’s a character, but of all the management he seems the most commited to our team. Others on the team tell me he’s one of the true blue here and will run through walls for ya. I’ve seen this first hand and I’m glad this guy is my boss.
Cons
*Training – my issue at this point was the initial training. First week is all in the classroom which I was syched for. I thought Id kind of pick up where I left off in school and learn something new. The trainer was nice don’t get me wrong but seemed like she was seeing the material for the first time too. She red off the ppt slides a lot. She did review with me after. My biggest opportunity for learning was with the three managers taking me under there wing and working with me. That helped give me the boost to get me going. Not meant to insult anyone, but if I wish these three were my trainers instead.
