Pros

Everyone who works here is young, super talented, and hardworking! The culture is amazing- catered lunch, company trips, weekly happy hour, and loads of other interest clubs like climbing and soup group. You learn so much and have the ability to own and go for whatever projects you want to do (because there is so much to do... startup life). But probably the best thing is knowing that you are working on projects that have no precedent and creating things that have never existed before. We get to interact with inspirational people every day who are using 3d printing to do amazing things. That is really cool.

Cons

It's intense. You have to be ready to put in the hours and work hard. You also have to be very self motivated. And need to love coffee.

Pros

Working at Formlabs is more a passion than a job. Everyday, I get to go in and help to shape the future of desktop manufacturing. It's incredible how empowered each employee is to make an impact on the company and its growth. There is always something exciting and new that needs to be done, and the lack of bureaucratic red tape allows employees to get stuff done easily and effectively. We're building an amazing product and business model, and it's quite incredible to see and to contribute to this growing industry from the inside. And this doesn't even touch upon company culture. Everyone at Formlabs enthusiastically believes in our products and the company's vision. I have made so many friends and learned so much from my co-workers. They always challenge me to be my best and to continually grow and improve personally and professionally. And from weekly happy hours, thrice-weekly "family" (catered) lunches, annual ski trip, annual summer trip, company parties, monthly game nights, bike trips, and so much more organized both by formlabs and organically by employees, there's always something fun to do. To add to this, we have a fleet of Form 1+ 3D printers and a machine shop that can be used for personal projects.

Cons

Sometimes I work too much...but it's usually okay because there's always something to eat in the kitchen. There also exist growing pains, as the company has essentially tripled in size every year since its founding. These can be overcome rather easily, though.

Pros

Great co-workers. Office culture is fun and casual, but intense and driven. Amazing flexibility in working hours and vacation time. "Get stuff done," attitude. The company is growing very fast, so there is tons of responsibility up for grabs. Very meritocratic. Software-specific: Awesome team. Great problems to work on. Massive amount of freedom and flexibility about what you get to work on.

Cons

Standard start-up cons. Growing pains. Occasional difficulties arising from an attempt to keep a "flat" company structure: sometimes it would be better to have more official decision makers that table arguments which everyone feels entitled to (and actually has a right to) participate in. Software-specific: Scope of the software we are expected to maintain is growing quickly, and there are natural growing pains associated with that, although they are being managed well.
