Pros

Great opportunity to earn some commission (when sales actually come in).

Cons

They make you work 50 hours per week every week (10 hour days) so you’ll never have work life balance. The base pay is low, absolutely no PTO (they give you “discretionary time off” with no pay and only 3 sick days per year) and they pay you LATE. Worst part besides sacrificing your mental health is: the company scams their members on something as important as health. You feel like a fraud selling memberships.

Great people, crappy culture and phony leaders

Pros

Hires incredibly smart, diverse, mission-driven talent from lots of different walks of life. Working on *actually* fixing health care, not just putting a bandaid on it Very audacious mission. If young and hungry, lots of opportunity to explore different parts of the business/move around internally and learn

Cons

Very long hours. Not good for people with a life or families. Little to no diversity in leadership. Fake, forced sense of culture and camaraderie coming from the top. Don't get the sense leaders actually cared about the people but pretend they do - will just do what it takes to succeed

Pros

* Remote work * Flexible hours * "Decent" pay hourly pay

Cons

* We are illegally categorized as contractors -- no benefits, no protected leave, etc. * Though there is a flexible schedule, hours are allocated from a preference sheet and not guaranteed. * We got a raise once from $15 - $17 but only because the new scribes we were training made more than us. In addition to no raises, our workload has DRASTICALLY increased over the last 2-3 years, now covering work responsibilities from TWO other teams (IT and Care Coordinators) * Management encourages feedback but never follows up. Speaking of management, for 4 months, we have been wondering who we report to. There is no clear chain of command and the turnover rate in management is poor for a company that is only about 7 years old. High turnover rate for MD's also. * Instead of taking the time to make improvements, communication within our team is limited and taken away to avoid employees collaborating and bonding. We've offered so many options for process improvement (a lot of us have training/education in other fields) with no response and the processes that they implement USUALLY make our jobs harder. * Lack of appreciation from managers. They don't speak to us. * YOU WILL FEEL GASLIT = Toxic positivity. "Everything is fine and great". * Out of date training completed by your peers (with no additional compensation) * You may be contacted outside of your work hours to help with visits caused by their inability to schedule appropriately therefore negatively impacting work/life balance.
