      Awful Place to Work - Ready to Quit

      Pros

      // Meaningful company mission. // Small team // Fantastic SWE team.

      Cons

      // Insane work hours. Much higher than other high caliber startups in the valley. // Dishonest leadership. // Unable to retain employees. Most of the initial team members are already gone (less than 2 years). // Unrealistic expectations set by leadership. // Lack of female presence in leadership.. // Lack of ethics and good morale in leadership, especially the CEO.

      Fast-Paced Startup with Brilliant Coworkers

      Pros

      * CEO who cares about the mission & his employees; makes sure he's accessible to people at all levels & is incredibly smart & experienced * Some of the most brilliant & kind coworkers you could have. Working on tough projects together makes it feel more like a tight-knit family than colleagues * We're a small company tackling huge problems, which means you get a ton of responsibility and leverage to sink your teeth in and really make a difference

      Cons

      * You have to be ready to put the pedal to the metal and truly believe in the company and mission; those who don't are much more prone to burnout & often struggle to keep up with the demands of the job
