Pros

The melting pot of people you meet from day to day. Lunch provided for employees daily. Benefits are great.

Cons

Gossiping. Very cliquey. Nepotism and favoritism run rampant when it comes to promotions. Lazy management. Nasty attitudes.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the relationships with colleagues and the wonderful benefits that our employees receive including our great lunches! We are troubled to hear your concerns about favoritism/nepotism and management attitude - that is certainly not in-line with the type of employee experience we try to create at our hotels. We welcome you to contact your former HR team to share your concerns as we would like the opportunity to be able to make improvements in the future. Thank you again and we wish you all the very best in your next role. Alexandra Home Office - Human Resources

Pros

-AMAZING healthcare/dental -Employee cafeteria that was typically terrible hot food BUT there was at least a salad bar, cereal, and deli meats/sandwich items. -Local, fun work perks occasionally -Comp room nights if you could find them when they’re available and they get approved! (The process of having to do all of that is definitely a con but worth it to stay somewhere exotic at a luxury brand hotel.) -Good pay

Cons

-EXTREMELY poor communication amongst all levels of management. -Disrespectful and unprofessional behavior was not tolerated from hourly employees but department heads could be almost emotionally inhumane at times with seemingly no consequences. -Owner of my property had entirely too much say in everything from daily operations to major events being put on by the hotel and happened to be some rich guy who had clearly never worked in a hotel before.

Thank you for taking time to share your impressions of your time working with us. It is through this feedback that we can learn and grow and work to ensure Four Seasons is a great place to work for all. We agree that work perks (including meals and travel) are fantastic. Opportunities for learning and development, career progression, being involved with the local community and working with some of the best hospitality professionals from around the world are great parts of a career with Four Seasons too! We take your feedback about the need for improved communication seriously. Respect for all employees is of utmost importance and we are troubled to hear that you may have had some negative experiences. We’ve shared these insights internally and will work to understand how we can do better. If you are open to sharing more, we would welcome you to contact the local HR team where you worked. Thank you again. Alexandra Corporate HR
