Pros

when an employee works at walnut village for a year they are granted scholarship for their education if they are pursuing school. it helps out a lot for books, tests, and programs. Also every Christmas time they give you a bonus check even if you are a part time worker.

Cons

old management was better. new management gets into your personal life. some directors do a great job while other I can't say the same.

Pros

It's definitely a good way to see the industry from the not-for-profit sector. It's also a good initial beginning to your career. Good benefits. The best part is working with the residents.

Cons

There's not a lot of growth with this company though. Sadly.. lots of good employees go unnoticed. Pay is much lower than for profit (not uncommon). Sometimes they need more than just a pat on the back. There is a lack of professionalism in management as well. "Clicks" are for Junior High and High School, not management.

Pros

Residents are great to work with. The location is nice especially if you like the beach and ocean views.

Cons

You get hired for a specific job title and pay then they delegate A TON of more work with no pay increase. Unstable Scheduling.
