Pros

The company has five gym machines in the back room. But it's in a musty stockroom, and you don't really feel like staying there after work anyway. There is a Starbucks down the street. Some of your coworkers will have a sense of humour. The rest are just empty people. Again, there is a Starbucks down the street. That's excellent.

Cons

This company has no integrity, values, or investment in the long-term growth and sustainability of its employees. The first review that says how great the job is. That was either written by management, or one of the brain-washed people who work there and have nothing else in their life. If you have any self-respect, steer clear of this company. They don't care about you at all. They will cleverly fill you up with self-help b.s. to make it look like you actually mean something to them. Don't be fooled. If you don't believe me, and don't value your time at all, then by all means apply and see for yourself. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Pros

They do provide GREAT sales training. They do invest time and energy into making sure their salespeople are well versed in sales strategies and how to handle objections. It is a close knit enviroment which some people enjoy. They provide a very nice selection of sales/ personal development materialsl for employees to learn from.

Cons

The health and dental benefits have to be the at the very bottom of what employers offer these days. This company offers absolutely no 401k plan. The managment makes the sales staff pay for everything; credit card fees for product purchases, the admin salaries in the front office- all of the fees to keep the business floating is money that is deducted from the earned sales commission that "Account Managers" earn at GC Micro. That's like making sales, earning your commission, and the boss takes out a few hundred to pay the PG&E bill. It's appalling. Also, the level of micro-management at this company is almost unbearable. The management mandates that everyone sign in, and sign out at any moment you enter or leave the building. If you leave your desk to go to the bathroom, someone else needs to be notified, in case your desk telephone rings. Very, very odd office behavior at this company. It does not seem that GC Micro has much of an investment in the future of it's employees welfare, but rather, how much they can extract from all of their employees. This methodology has led to a great many qualified salespeople leaving this company in the past, myself included.

Pros

Like all the reviews said they have an excellent training program. If you're new to sales I would take advantage of their training program than leave for another company.

Cons

Worst insurance for dental and health. No opt coverage. No 401K. No yearly bonus. They use a percentage of what you make to pay for admin salaries. They like to say they focus on being positive but the company is actually highly negative. They will berate you in sales meetings even though its supposedly "Blue Angel". The sales commission sucks for how much effort you put in the company. You can get paid twice as much at other competitors. They take advantage of people in their 20's that don't know better.
