Pros

Technically, you're employed. Many are moving on to different companies and everyone left at Geodis shares and insurmountable workload. Beware of vague reviews. They are trying to keep things looking good from the outside because many current employees are on their way out.

Cons

2017 - Deductibles have more then doubled to 2,100 min. for single health insurance. Max out of pocket more than doubled to 6,300 per year for individual. Longer work day. Loss of holidays and PTO days compared to before the merger. The company has decided in order to turn a profit the only option is to take from employees

Joke of a Job

Pros

There were no Pros to this job at this location.

Cons

The Columbus location by the airport, is an absolute joke of a place to work. The equipment was junk, the management were just complete liars. I was hired for a $24 position, yet when I started I was knocked down to a $20 position, the supervisors there were complete crap of people. The people were complete crappy people, met one guy and one guy only I started with that was a pretty decent guy, they did the same crap to him. Shift was 3 12 hour days, they changed the shift time 4 different times, and then added an extra day then an extra day with no time and half pay. Favoritism everywhere you look. If you are looking for a job, you have so many more opportunities then this horrid place, DO NOT WORK HERE.

Pros

Being able to contribute to the development of SOPs.

Cons

The hours. You really will be expected to work any hours. This was actually said, “I don’t care if you run the best shift in the building, consideration for promotion will be determined on how much you do for this company on your time.” Leaders are not given a department to run. All supervisors are expected to share responsibility for the entire shift/building. Turnover in the first year was about 60% for salaried exempt. Every time someone would leave or get fired, upper management would essentially shrug their shoulders. There are some schools of thought that believe increased turnover (whether forced or voluntary) weeds out the weak and creates competition to stay employed. It is my belief that this location follows that philosophy. If you absolutely need a job then apply here, but don’t expect it to be a long term career move.
