Pros

Can be fun and exciting when the product is good. The energy and music is good. The customers are great.

Cons

Getting more for less is the name of the game! The hours can be grueling and work/life balance not respected. The leadership structure in the store has changed so that more responsibility is being given to entry level supervisors. While more responsibility can be a great thing, I believe you need to compensate employees for it. The supervisors are not given the support and training they need to run multi million dollar businesses. Also, there is no career advancement for them.

Pros

They simply have the best benefits package around. Even though they changed their health plan this year to the flexible spending account all the other benefits are great. I've been doing weight watchers and the company actually pays for my meetings to "keep me healthy" as part of our health plan.

Cons

A lot of promotions and special opportunities are reserved for people who are liked more than people who are actually qualified. The first year I worked for the company we had amazing contests for making sales goals, especially around holiday times. Someone I knew won a flat screen tv! But we don't have anything like that anymore.
