Good open door policy, good benefits. I really enjoyed my position within the company.

Cons

The company had no loyalty to it's employees but wanted loyalty from its employees. We were paid on a much smaller scale compared to unionized GDLS locations. Consistently lied to about company business.

Pros

9/80 work schedule is a huge plus which gives you every other Friday off. Medical insurance options are above average although starting in 2015 it may be more inline with the market. 401k match is pretty good. Most of the engineering areas are generally low stress but not all. Great co-workers and bosses.

Cons

The company is very dis-functional and resistant to change. When a functional problem has to be addressed it is done by crushing the engineers at the bottom with more burdens. Communication from the top to the bottom of the company remains terrible despite survey after survey over the years indicating this. The burden of process and bureaucracy stifle innovation and make it difficult to get things done.... very frustrating. The current business outlook in this industry is poor. Management has clamped down hard on promotions and advancement as the company structure is very top heavy. Flex time is not all that flexible.

Mission to Save soldiers lives. Good heritage of quality products

Cons

New Leadership has little product or customer experience and is overly focused on short term financial goals. They think they are doing well with a recent big international win that came after years of pursuing a customer. Long term outlook is not bright unless strategy and direction from the top improves
