      Worst company I have ever worked for

      Pros

      - Learn the ins and outs of the call center industry very fast

      Cons

      I have never worked for a company that treated their employees as badly and Genesys does. Upper management cuts corners at every turn and then blame the employees and withholds bonuses for not being able to keep up. I have had several members of management at different levels straight up lie to my face about several things. When I try to move to another department, they block me. I am overworked and underpaid and I see no reason to stay here.

      I appreciate your taking time to provide feedback. We’ve been fortunate to be able to pay out bonuses the last few years and all employees are eligible – unlike many software companies. And while bonuses are based on company performance, they are also based on individual performance. So, if someone feels they are not fairly compensated, it’s probably because their manager has concerns about their contributions.       Pros

      Genesys is truly a family. We care about each other. We want people to succeed in all facets of their life. One of the things I admire about this leadership is their ability to give employees the space to create. An example of this is Elevate. This group of youngish professionals wanted to connect with senior leadership, so they did. They hosted a Happy Hour with Tom Eggemeier, giving fireside chat. With the success of this event, they plan on having more. This is just one example of having an idea and getting the support from senior leadership to make it happen.

      Cons

      Better coffee makers on all of the floors, not just the 9th.

      Thanks for your thoughtful post! I agree that for many of us, working at Genesys can feel like a family, and it's one of the great things about our culture. The recently formed Elevate group is a great example of how much employee-driven initiatives are supported; this is also true of our charitable giving Make a Difference program and our innovation group Gennovators. I also agree with you that the only good coffee machines at HQ are in our big Cafe G area, but have decided that going to another floor to get the good coffee increases my chances of meeting other employees doing the same thing and gives us a all a chance to take a break and say hi to each other!       Pros

      HR Dept is more updated, employee info is accessed electronically instead of manually like at SoundBite. Up-to-date as far as having an HR portal for both the HR department's convenience as well as for the convenience of employee's to change or look up their benefits etc. This alleviates the work load from the HR dept.

      Cons

      Low pay for me anyway. They are very revenue driven, employees seemed more of a number.

      We do have a fantastic intranet and HR helpdesk, all of which were created to make things easier for our employees. When we acquired SoundBite, we did some consolidation and your role was not needed. I am sorry that you are still disappointed about this years later.
