A new initiative was introduced to align employees’ job titles with "industry standards" and their level of expertise, which was presented as a benefit for everyone.
However, managerial and executive positions remain unchanged and unaffected by this decision. Instead, the changes exclusively target individual contributor roles, such as Senior Analysts and Senior Engineers, who are being reclassified to Analysts or Engineers. Similarly, the Principal Engineer title is being eliminated, with current Principals demoted to Senior Engineers.
This reclassification has also effectively removed opportunities for future growth and promotions within the company. All of this is happening as the company reports significant profits and is actively expanding its workforce.
The internal culture emphasizes a family-like environment and promotes equality for all. However, these changes appear to contradict the principles of inclusivity and growth that the same culture aims to foster.
