Pros

Generous time off allowances; decent health coverage

Cons

Horrific and incompetent leadership infects every aspect; extremely low compensation (MANY staff members have second jobs); astoundingly unprofessional upper management; antiquated mindsets and ill-advised decisions; unqualified, apathetic upper management and staff allowed to remain and drag what's left of the place down while qualified staff with potential and ideas is run off or flees; highly questionable fiscal management; convoluted and outdated financial systems; rampant dysfunction and disorder; poor priorities; deteriorating facilities; understandably low staff morale; etc. etc. etc. The board here is also misguided and ineffective. Nothing short of a top-to-bottom overhaul would salvage this train wreck of an organization. Sadly, that’s not in the cards.

Pros

Flexibility, if approved by supervisor. I cannot offer additional advantages, but am required to include 20 words in this section.

Cons

In constant state of flux. Reorg after reorg. It's hard to keep up. Staff is regularly defending positions in fear of losing jobs. Lack of support on every level. Catty, critical, negative culture. No opportunity for learning, growth, or advancement.

Pros

Mission based. Always moving forward. Some co workers were friendly and I have learned a lot in the 3 years working there.

Cons

The entire organization as a whole has no respect for younger employees. I have never felt more bullied in my life. They treat male favorably. Females are passive aggressive to each other. There is a mean girl culture here that has to stop steaming from upper management. Their open door policy is also horrible. When coming to management everything gets thrown back at you so that they do not have to put in any effort into changing culture.
