Sales—Stay Away

Pros

Some people are very kind and always looking to help out wherever they can, the company offers decent benefits, good work life balance

Cons

Unfortunately my time at Gladly fell very short of the expectations I had and was overall super disappointing. Gladly is NOT a company for sales people, no upward mobility options, pay is low, goals are entirely unattainable and turnover is through the roof. In my time, I saw four reps leave and two get terminated off of my team of ten. Leadership is completely out of touch with product and operational gaps and the number we are expected to attain is top down, not based on what is actually achievable. Favoritism is rampant, the few that get promoted have nothing over the rest besides better rapport with upper management.

Pros

Solid group of people that will work to support each other If you like start-up environments you will do well here The product is an interesting idea that could easily catch on mainstream WFH life is great as it gives you real flexibility in where you want to be located

Cons

Very high turnover lately, major senior and very senior members of almost every team have left leaving few in their place with the same knowledge and experience No clear sense of where the company will be in 6-12 months. They are not exactly struggling, but also not exactly in high growth. They are in the awkward middle step which can be unsettling. Expect to work odd hours and to be responsible for many different things Career advancement and promotion opportunities are essentially non-existent

False promises and unrealistic expectations

Pros

Good pay and WFH benefits

Cons

Leadership is completely unrealistic with their goals and the marketing and sales team has been like a revolving door. Sales team has very little support from a marketing/partnership standpoint. In the interview process I was told we would have great inbound support as well as partnership support and when I joined realized there is virtually none. Management just barks orders and expects results but has no real game plan to help. Be transparent with the people you hire instead of misleading people. Unprofessional environment overall and would not recommend.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback and we're sorry that you have not had a good experience working with Gladly so far. We have worked hard on rebuilding the marketing team over the past few months to deliver more initiatives that will create more pipeline opportunities. In addition, we are focused on enablement for our sales teams to set them up with the right tools and resources to be successful in their roles.
