Pros

After months of working there I'm still trying to figure out what those are.

Cons

The owner is delusional, every artist that was ever worth something in this company has left because they run this place like it's a 18th century slave mill. To top it all like others have post it all these good reviews you see are definitely written by the owner, we all knew each other here and there was only one artist that liked being at Gradient. It was so bad even their water dispenser smelled like fish because they refused to buy a new one, pretty sure that filter gets changed once every 4 years. Hours are terrible as well, and they lock you out of communication from the outside world.

Pros

I am not a big Windows fan, glad to see that they use Linux for all their computers. They have a full in house rendering farm, don't have to deal with crappy cloud rendering like at some other places. Lots of parking available.

Cons

Located on the westside. So it can be a hard commute to work from the valley.

Pros

Terrible management has bonded the artists together

Cons

This is a place where nobody should work. No matter how desperate you are for a job, PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE. The stress from this environment will quickly turn you into a zombie. You will not have a life, and you will easily lose the passion that you have for the arts. There's nothing more frustrating than an owner that does not have any clue about the schedule, who's doing what and what the client wants. At the end of the day, everyone else is to blame except him. Keep in mind, this guy is the owner, CG supe, 2D supe, FX supe, Creative Director, artist and all of the above; therein lies the problem. His ego is so boosted that he is not able to accept any criticism, what more appoint someone else as a supervisor. Like what others said, save yourself from the agony and humiliation that he will throw at you and stay far away from this place. The pay is also substantially low than what most places will offer you. Respect yourself enough and don't put yourself through this bane. P/s - Be aware of any high ratings, it probably was written by him or management as a form of damage control.
