You can work from home unless you are hitting your numbers, and your success is based on luck of which department you are working. If you work for the college of education, you have a higher likelihood of being successful because they spend millions of more dollars in marketing, have lower tuition, are not working with felons and people who do not own computers or with people committing financial aid fraud. But if you work on the college of business, prepare for 75% attrition, seeing your peers stress daily with no end of sight, consistent corrective action plans, lower converting leads with the same expectations as education teams, with fewer scholarships, higher tuition, and the worst marketed leads where you are constantly working with people with no computers, no intention for the programs they inquired for (most of my IT leads are requesting information about mechanic and welding vocational programs, hmmmm). You will be treated like a child, your voice will never be heard, and their motto is if you don't like it, quit. No wonder my team alone has hired seven new people this year. Let alone the dozens more quitting across campus.

The human resources department at Grand Canyon Education is rotten at the top. There was a recent leadership change, and with that came a complete shift in culture for the department, resulting in the loss of TONS of amazing, capable people. There is emphasis on all of the wrong things (working in office as opposed to at home, bringing in outside people with years of experience instead of promoting internally to help foster growth in employees, etc.) and not enough emphasis on the right things (pay increases, work/life balance, mental health awareness). Also, marking a disapproval of the CEO, Brian Mueller, as everything points back to the leadership, especially when one of your core bad apples is a VP.
