Pros

Good, knowledgeable, dedicated employees at the operations and business level who are willing to hang in there and ride the storm.

Cons

Management stinks! All talk and no action. I was lied to and stabbed in the back, and I saw it happen to many others. Favoritism runs rampant. Highest turnover at any company I've worked.

Pros

I have a place of employment that allows me to travel the United States and Canada roads. Once on the road as a driver you are the commander and as long as you operate safely you have control of the bus and people. Perfect career for a homeless, and vehicle-less person who is looking to work 20 years without knowing which day of the week it is while accruing a nest egg to retire in S.America.

Cons

Management will micromanage you to the very last second. You constantly have to watch you're pay. If you say you believe a bus to be unsafe the mechanic will question your challenge instead of taking your word. The name of the business is penny on the dollar and greyhound will squeeze every penny out of a bus, a bus driver and the sad part is they state you make a certain wage for driving when passengers are on board, but when you report to work you have D.O.T. inspections you perform and customer service functions they practically expect you to do for free. When you factor in hours away from home in which most instances an off day could only be 22 hours and you average all hours work at various pay it's just barely enough to get by and way too much risk for a minimal reward. There's stress from work, environment and not a family friendly professional.
