Pros

Great benefits, lots of great people, looks impressive on resume.

Cons

Very anxious environment, ruled-by-fear culture. It doesn't matter how late you work, you CANNOT be late the following morning. Lack of humanity, compassion, and very little joy. There are some truly wonderful people but the atmosphere is stifling. Working in a creative capacity puts you inside a box, since everything you do is required to be a derivative of what is already prevalent in the market, there is no room for originality or innovation.

Pros

Corporate office conveniently located in Downtown Los Angeles

Cons

Too much emphasis is placed on employee loyalty to management, independent thinking is often discouraged, instead employees are bullied into falling in line. Often, there seems to be no logic to decisions other than whim of a manager. This creates a culture of fear and opaqueness, and discourages employees from speaking up when they see something wrong or feel something could be done better. Why is Paul Marciano back? Was the FCC filing regarding Paul's departure and the settlement with 5 of his accusers of sexual abuse a lie to stabilize the stock price? This culture of loyalty to–and fear of–Paul Marciano trickles down through out the company and creates a toxic work environment. The company is in desperate need of qualified, highly skilled professionals, but instead is permeated by legacy employees with little qualifications for outsized positions, other than their apparent loyalty to Paul Marciano and certain managers. This dinosaur of a company is going extinct.

Pros

Great benefits. That's it.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment. You are considered as a number in this corporate environment. Walking through the hallways is stressful cause you never know when you might "run in" to the CEO. There is always the possibility he will fire you. I am a prompt person, but if you are not at your desk by 8:00 you could be fired. Too many people disagreeing with each other. Very little teamwork or direction. Upper management only cares about themselves. They do not listen to voiced concerns or care what you think about. I don't mind a challenge but my workload vs hours in the day were not balanced. Everyone points fingers and no one will accept responsibility. There is no training. You either sink or swim. Some (not all) of upper management do nothing to help you grow. In their defense, they have to worry about themselves too since the CEO runs this company by fear. You get stuck in this rut of the same daily routine and you lose sight of bigger and better things. This is the worst place where I have ever worked. There are bonuses but no structure on how to earn one. It's political. There is little to no recognition for excelling at your position. You can NEVER do enough to make anyone happy. As soon as you do, then you get reprimanded for taking a 16 min break and not a 15 min break. The quality of the garments are horrible. This is because the outrageous markup on the financial aspect outweighs the quality offered to the customer. Do not work here. The Guess name on your resume is not worth the stress you have to endure. This place literally sucks the life out of you. It changed me from a very positive person to a cranky, unhappy and miserable person. Seriously, don't work here. You get reprimanded if you don't eat in the cafe. If you bring your lunch, you are not allowed to eat it in the cafe. You are also not allowed to eat it at your desk. If there is a meeting from 12-2 then you don't get a lunch that day. If you are caught eating at your desk AND after 2 forget about it. Lunches in the cafe are expensive no matter how much you make. It will be fun and exciting for about 2 months and that's it. I assure you.
