Pros

Genuine and sincere colleagues who work hard and have the best interest of the company at heart. Company is iconic in the apparel industry and is universally recognized. Good benefits are offered to employees.

Cons

Messy management system. Company does not foster and nurture talent. Challenging upper management increases the chances of shortening your tenure. Management positions are always constantly handed out to the wrong employees.

Pros

Has a nice Cafe, modern offices, work in downtown Head office location right off the highway for convenience.

Cons

Very fast paced, constant turn over of executive staff, global strategy changes quarterly, expected to work long hours, management supports bullying behavior for results.

Pros

There were very few pros of working here aside from loving the people in my department. Also, the campus has a cafe for employees which serves healthy food at a (sometimes reasonable) price. The 40% discount off merchandise is pretty nice as well.

Cons

I've never worked in an environment that is so chaotic as Guess was. The chaos stems from the horrible upper management they employ there. Management has no clue how to manage their employees and the majority of them are completely incompetent. I often wondered how some of them managed to stay for so long. But Guess has such a bad reputation outside of the corporate offices, that they very rarely will fire even the worst of employees because it's near impossible to find replacements/find people that actually want to work there. Don't expect to get a raise any time soon after working there. Don't even expect to get a yearly performance review. Management are so consumed with themselves, that they forget that their employees rely on yearly merit increases as well as feedback on their performance. Tip for anyone working their now: The only time you can expect a hefty salary increase is if you threaten to quit. Makes you wonder if they are giving you this raise because they think you are irreplaceable or because they know no one wants to work there.
