Pros

Pay was very good in my opinion, pay rates were constantly checked against industry averages to keep competitive (and to keep our facilities non-union). Small bonus potential for non-mgt. Benefits were very good and priced reasonably, working to improve wellness incentives, etc. Technicians took great pride in the work they completed and saw some amazing craftsmanship and efforts. Safety is paramount for ethical and monetary reasons.

Cons

If you don't work at corp headquarters in Savannah, GA, you are considered more of an annoyance than a fellow employee - b/c this company was for most of its existence was only in GA. Work from home opportunities for are nil except for Sales Reps. While safety and quality are highest priorities, you may still be pushed to get the job done on time, no matter what.

Pros

A work-performance oriented company with the benefits of both a large and small company. You are not yet another drop in the ocean akin to the larger aerospace defense contractors. Your individual efforts and successes are often recognized at higher levels than your immediate supervisors and peers. At the same time, Gulfstream is a company which is at the cutting edge of technology and capabilities meaning the time you spend here is easily working with or developing future technologies (not utilizing "hand-me-down" processes or toolsets from the industry).

Cons

Savannah is better than Wichita, KS... but it's not the largest city in the world either.

Pros

Great parent company who will invest in R&D (General Dynamics). New and innovation products coming out. Four day work week, get paid overtime (hourly rate) for any work performed Friday-Sunday.

Cons

Repetitive job. No real career advancement. Everything seems to be Engineerings fault, you definitely don't feel like a "professional" there. Even though we are salaried, you must work at least 40 hours, would get in trouble if you didn't, even if you completed your tasks.
