Pros

Flexible hours, ability to expand knowledge every year through courses offered during the off-season, rewarding to help people with their taxes, collegial and friendly office environment

Cons

The pay is low. Few opportunities for year-round employment. Occasionally there can be clients that are difficult to deal with. Can be stressful during peak.

Pros

Great learning experience; people is nice and willing to help. AT least now is not required to sell anything.

Cons

New employees don't get good schedules; you learn as you go and if you leave before the season is over you loose some compensation.

Pros

H & R Block has some excellent employees, office leaders and district managers. They are all very nice, caring, and helpful people.

Cons

There are not really any downfalls of working at H & R Block. There are some days that you do get clients that are unhappy with some of the service. But we all try our hardest to turn their frown upside down.
