Decent Employer

Pros

It is a definite job every year from August to April. Opportunity for overtime during peak season. Starting place for entry level IT jobs which would allow you to move into other companies in a regular full time position.

Cons

Lack of communication from the management. Very small opportunity for advancement or a career. Pay has been increased in the past two years, but is still below average for the industry and area. Management does not appear to respect or notice hard working employees. Poor benefits.

Pros

I got to learn a lot at H&R not just about taxation but also how to handle clients and also how to perform multi tasking with a smile.

Cons

The pay scales are not very good so you cannot expect H&R salary to take care of your monthly expenses

Pros

A lot of experienced tax preparers, flexible work schedule, excellent training. Great job for a stay at home mom or dad

Cons

The pay is not that great. You have to build your client base to really make decent money
